Click here to be taken straight to My JBF Tags. We implemented a Point-of-Sale barcode scanning system (like at the grocery store) at our Spring 09 sale to great success! This system reduced the chances for error, eliminated DeTag at checkout and allowed us to get consignor checks out much faster after the sale. For the Fall 2009 sale, no handwritten tags will be accepted. Instead, please use our online bar-coding system whih offers a way for you to track your sales. You will find that it takes less time to tag your items using the bar-coding software than the traditional hand-written tags. It is easy and we are here to help! Tagging guns are a great alternative to using safety pins.
Tagging Toys and Baby Equipment: Fasten tags securely to your items with clear strapping/mailing tape; do not use scotch tape. You can also punch a hole in the top of your tag and attach the tag securely with ribbon or string. Zip ties are great and useful for attaching tags and multiple items together (can be purchased at local hardware and discount stores). Hangers: Please use plastic tube hangers or discarded department store hangers, rather than thin wire or plastic coated wire hangers. Wire hangers tend to tangle with each other and the clothing in the racks. We try to remove items from hangers when we sell so that those who wish can get hangers at the end of the sale to "replace" what they've brought. We have heard from our consignors that Old Navy does not reuse their hangers and will give you a large bag of hangers for free if you simply ask. Other good places to get affordable hangers include the Dollar Store and Portland City Liquidators. Hanging Instructions: Hang size 4t garments & smaller on child hangers (plastic tube, not wire). Larger clothing should be hung on adult hangers. All garments should be hung with the hanger hook pointing left (hanger should resemble a question mark when looking at the front of item). Safety pin clothing sets securely with pants hung on the backside of the shirt and safety pinned at the waist on the hanger, so both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them. Please safety pin pants to the top part of the hanger so the garment will not slide. Consignor #: Make sure your consignor number is correct; be careful to avoid transposing your number. Please use the number our system assigned you when you registered. This is the number tied to your name and lets us know which items to pay you for. Size and Description: Use a specific size other than S, M, or L. Give a short description of your item on the tag, just in case it becomes separated from the item. Donate (optional): Please put a D on the lower left corner of the tag if you want to donate any of your items at the end of the sale. Any items not picked up during consignor pick up times will be donated. All donations from our fall event will be picked up by our charity partners. Price: You set your own price on all items. Please price to sell! Generally items sell for 1/4 to 1/3 of the original price, depending on name brand and condition. Better brand names, unique items, or high price items usually bring more. Ask yourself "What would I pay for this item? Please use $.50 price increments only (ie; $6.00 or $6.50 rather than $6.99). |
